Life's Like The Secret of Kells

Movie #6: The Secret of Kells

The Secret of Kells is a unique animated tale. It was up for an Academy Award actually, as an fyi. And, I really enjoyed it. The animation is different and quite artistically beautiful to watch. As to the story, it's a nice fable of a boy with a quest involving an ancient book, a mystical girl, and his own determination to follow his path despite the obstacles in front of him. I recommend it.

Anyway, for today's movie, I too found green ink like the boy in the movie and started to draw...

I let my imagination take flight...

And,  the ink turned blue...

And, then orange...

And, then red...

And back to green...

What story would this picture hold...

Lines running across time...

True love...

Wishes coming true...

Magic...

And, good luck...

Fun, huh?

FUN MOVIE LINKS:

* Check out The Secret of Kells on IMDB.

* And, Movie #6 almost wasn't The Secret of Kells, by the way. My guy and I watched the first 50 minutes of Wet Hot American Summer, which I had already seen but for some reason he really wanted to see. So, we watched and my guy got really bored. I was just kinda bored. It's a campy making fun of camp movie with no real plot...pretty much like Meatballs. Some people love that stuff. Anyway, we decided to switch movies. Later I found out that my guy had only wanted to see it because it was on Michael Cera's (of Juno and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World fame) top 10 list or something on tumblr. See, celebs do have power. And, luckily, we were able to find The Secret of Kells streaming on Netflix. Anyway, here's the trailer for Wet Hot American Summer:
