Movie #9: Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast always tugs at my heart strings, every time I see it. It's one of the good old Disney musical cartoons, along with Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. I love them all - great songs, good story, and so much fun. I could listen to their soundtracks over and over and over again. 

Be our guest! Be our guest! Okay...I'm not actually going to sing.

And, by the way, the Blu-Ray version is awesome! So many extras about the making of the movie and the music!!!! And, about 20 minutes of an early version of the movie...that I'm glad they didn't make! It was missing so much - still, so much work...totally thrown away! Just goes to show you how much work goes into a fantastic animated film! 

How's my life like this movie?

Well, I've always actually felt a bit like Belle - nose stuck in a book, reading about great adventures:

And, then one day, I did meet a Beast. She was very sad and scruffy and unkempt and behind bars at the pound:

But I decided to have an adventure...and take her home. Trials and tribulations followed. This was only one of them:

She tried to make things difficult. She was a loner, didn't need anyone. But, eventually, she came around and now she's one of my best friends:

So, see, sometimes you can tame a beast. :)
