Life's Like The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo

Movie#12: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is one of those movies that I heard hype about as a book before I even saw the movie. This is the Swedish version (I know they're making an American one right now). So, I read the book by Steig Larsson first and am in the process of reading the sequels (before I ever see the movies). The books are excellent and so was this, the first movie, even if they did have to cut some things out.

The gist: A disgraced newspaper reporter named Bloomkvist takes a job writing a family biography for a wealthy family, but he's really been hired to find out what happened to the head of the family's niece who disappeared over 40 years ago. He's aided by the girl with the dragon tattoo, Lisbeth Salander.

How's my life like this movie? There is no current murder mystery that I've been hired to investigate, but I did decide to give myself a dragon tattoo today:

Neat, huh? Now I'm just as cool as Lisbeth Salander (the girl with the Dragon Tattoo).

* Check out The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on imdb.

* With this movie, you definitely have to check out the sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire. Shhh...I'm still reading the book, but I will definitely be checking out the movie
