Movie #13: Red
Red is a movie that I might not have seen except that a friend and I randomly decided to go see it because her only other choice was a movie that looked depressing and I wanted to see something fun. And, I really enjoyed it - it's funny, full of action, and a fun adventure/hit/comedy movie with a fun romance added in.
The gist: A former black ops agent (Bruce Willis) gets a hit put out on him and has to reassemble his old team and protect the girl he loves.
How's my life like this movie? Licorice and I play our own game of spy versus spy.
Licorice sleeps on the couch, but she is always on the alert, like any good spy.
Licorice sleeps on the couch, but she is always on the alert, like any good spy.
Her task - to keep safe the famed golden lobster. Hey, it may not look gold, but that's how she keeps it safe. She's one smart puppy!
I decide to sneak in for the steal...
Licorice, suddenly weary, moves positions, onto the ottoman slightly closer to the golden lobster. Just in case...
We both lunge for it! A struggle ensues!!!!
Licorice comes away victorious! The golden lobster is hers for another day!
At least, this is the way we look at things at our house.

* Check out Red on IMDB.
* I saw another "retired" action stars type movie with Sylvester Stalone a few months ago that was totally different in feel, but that for some reason I associate with Red called - The Expendables
